ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Are you someone who enjoys solving unique and challenging puzzles? Do you get bored with doing the same research and drafting tasks repeatedly? Have you ever had an “outside the box” idea that wasn’t even considered by your employer?
If so, then we need you in our offices. We need an Associate Attorney who will work on a constantly evolving series of litigation files, contested probates, and trust administration. If you can think of unique solutions to problems, enjoy working on novel legal issues, or simply don’t like repetition in mundane tasks, then we want you to come work with us. Here’s the fine print:
What We Want
· A Juris Doctor degree and up to five (5) years of law-related experience
· Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
· Professional attitude and appearance
· Possess a strong knowledge of ethical issues
· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
· Superb organizational skills
· Comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance
· Strong phone and communication skills
· Familiar with billing processes and invoicing
What We Expect
· Provide exceptional client service through case preparation, strategy, and maintenance of client files.
· Work on, and participate in, trials and contested hearings.
· Act as a liaison with clients, attorneys, state agencies, relatives of clients, and witnesses.
· Communicate with clients and provide clients with case status updates.
· Prepare legal documents including pleadings, subpoenas, briefs, and motions for filing.
· Review and coordinate discovery.
· Assisting other team members as necessary.
· Assist with client billing and invoicing.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Salary: Based on experience.

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Wengler Law Firm, PC, seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join our busy practice. The Associate will be a full-time, on-site team member based in Joliet, IL. This role involves managing a caseload, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, advocating for clients in court proceedings and providing clear, practical legal advice to clients.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission, or eligibility for admission, to the Illinois Bar
- Experience or coursework in Probate, Guardianships, Wills and Trusts
- Proficiency in legal research and writing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in an on-site environment

SUPERVISORY REGIONAL COUNSEL (MARION, IL)
Title: Public Service Administrator – Supervisory Regional Counsel
Work Location: 2309 W Main St, Marion, Illinois 62959
Agency: Department of Children and Family Services
Salary: Anticipated Starting Salary: $9,488 – $10,900/month

Essential Functions
- Serves as Supervisory Regional Counsel
- Provides technical advice and counsel to Agency personnel conducting all levels of administrative “fair hearings”
- Serves as full line supervisor
- Serves as legal advisor to regional field staff
- Plans, directs, and conducts technical legal screening and provides case consultation to caseworkers and supervisors to help prepare cases for termination of parental rights (TPR), to determine when cases are trial ready for TPR
- Serves as agency liaison to judiciary, State’s Attorney offices, and various court personnel in each county in the region
- Maintains current working knowledge of new legislation, Department rules and policy, and all relevant law
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires possession of a valid license to practice law in Illinois
- Requires three years of administrative experience in the practice of law

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our litigation team, handling contract disputes, partnership and shareholder disputes, landlord-tenant actions, mechanic’s lien cases, and fiduciary litigation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence
- Prepare and answer discovery
- Attend court for status appearances, motions, hearings, and trial
- Provide support to the partners
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in the State of Illinois
- 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in private practice
- Strong legal research skills
- Excellent writing skills
