Will County Bar Association Ask a Lawyer Committee

About The Ask a Lawyer Committee

Each year, the Illinois State Bar Association sponsors Ask A Lawyer Day to recognize and celebrate Law Day, which celebrates the role of law in our society and cultivates a deeper understanding of the legal profession. During Ask A Lawyer Day, volunteers respond to telephone calls from the public to answer general legal questions free of charge. The calls help members of the public resolve their legal issues or assist them in taking the next steps toward resolving those issues. The Will County Bar Association participates in this annual event and you can make a difference by volunteering.

As a volunteer, you will answer calls and field general legal questions from Illinois residents. This is a state-wide public relations effort that helps enhance the image of the profession and receives considerable attention from the public and the media.

The date and details for Ask A Lawyer Day are forthcoming and will be shared upon receipt.

Get Involved!

The WCBA maintains a number of committees that provide useful services such as CLE seminars, rule proposals, participation in the judicial poll and this website.

Members of the Will County Bar are urged to join a committee as participation from all committees and their members are very important to the growth of our association and other WCBA members.
